Order Lose to Win Bible Study Books
On the last night before the cross, Jesus made his disciples a promise: he would not leave them as orphans. The Spirit of God would come to live in them — to teach them, to remind them, and to work through them to empower them to do what Jesus had been doing.
Listen and Obey is a six-session study of John 14–15 for people who want to experience God working through them.
Over six weeks you will ask:
- Who am I, now that Christ lives in me?
- How do I read the Bible for transformation instead of information?
- Did Jesus really mean ask anything?
- How do I know if I am following the Spirit?
- Why does sin shut down the Spirit's power — and how do I get it back?

The answer is both simple, and costly: the power of the Spirit comes by losing your life. Not living for what you want, so that God can do what he wants through you.
This is not a study to do alone. It is designed for three or four friends around a table. Every session has questions for the group, daily readings for the week, room to write, and the H.E.A.R. method for hearing God in a passage instead of skimming it. The study shows you how to train people to lead the next group.

Mark Colebank spent seven years of doctoral research asking what was missing. He came to faith at twenty, an atheist won over by the love of Christian friends in college. He planted churches, went to seminary, and pastored a small church, all the while thinking that trying harder was the answer.
